Playing mp3's in a Blog Post

Testing linking to an mp3 file.
  1. Find a free mp3 hosting site. I like 4shared.com
  2. Make a new folder (I called my 'mp3s')
  3. Upload your mp3 files to here.
  4. Right-click on the new folder -> Sharing and Security -> SHARE
  5. Both the URL and Embedded Codes will be available to copy/paste into your Blog!
  6. See example below for both.
I read an award winning book (recorded it) for my grandsons for Christmas. I sent them to my son, who will sync them on the boys iPods in their stockings. They're 7 and 9 and love hiking with me in the outdoors. So I thought this would be a good mp3 Blog test.

OPTION #1: making mp3's available for download
OPTION #2: Playing mp3's in your actual Blog post
  • Just copy/pasted the embedded coding into the Blog (that 4shared provided).
  • I didn't like the full height they gave, so reduced it to 50px to just show the nav bar below.
  • Narration to Banner in the Sky (listen right from blog)

  • Chapter 1, part 1 to Banner in the Sky (listen right from blog).
